Samsung shows off 10.1″ 25601600 tablet display

Back in May, Samsung unveiled a tablet friendly PenTile display that measured 10.1" and managed to achieve a whopping resolution of 2560×1600, a resolution normally reserved for larger and more high-end monitors. It looks like Samsung is back again with yet another 10.1" display that they showed off during FPD International in Yokohama, Japan. Much like Samsung's previous display, this too will sport a resolution of 2560×1600, but this time using an IGZO TFT oxide semiconductor, with power consumption of the panel excluding its backlight at 26mW.

US's most powerful nuke dismantled

US's most powerful nuke dismantled

It's time to bid farewell to the last B53 bomb in America. Disassembly of the country's most powerful remaining nuclear bomb - touted to be six hundred times stronger than the one dropped on Hiroshima - started yesterday at the Pantex Plant near Amarillo, Texas. The B53 that was put into service back in 1962, weights 10,000 pounds and was the size of a minivan. If you're wondering why it was so powerful and huge, it's because back then the size of the bomb had to compensate for its lack of accuracy.

Mac OS X trojan attacks websites from your computer

Mac computers have been known to be rather resilient against virus's and malware, but that doesn't mean that Mac users should be taking that for granted, especially since hackers have managed to port over of the Linux/Tsunami trojan horse onto Mac OS X. The new trojan has been dubbed OSX/Tsunami and it basically takes over your computer and uses it to attack other websites, which could prove to be complicated should legal action be taken against you. Discovered by software security company, ESET, it's similar to its Linux predecessor in the sense that it uses IRC (Internet Relay Chat) to communicate.

Nokia 800 gets pictured

Thus far, evidence of the Nokia 800 has been the stuff of slow but reasonably steady leaks in the form of ads, product shots and dev stats. This latest one doesn't do much to change the state of things, but its real world setting should help hold some of the Mango faithful over until the handset formerly known as Sea Ray gets officially official, most likely in the very near future. Looks very much like the beloved Nokia N9 doesn't it.
