2014 BMW X5

Is Better Than Ever Still Good Enough. By now, all but the staunchest of traditionalists have moved past the shock and horror of seeing their favorite automotive brands branching into categories and segments that break with their previously accepted norms. In other words, you and I don't really care all that much if the BMW M3 is powered by an inline six or a V8, or whether it boasts a turbocharger, just so long as the end result is an awesome car. Similarly, we don't get all hot under the collar seeing that same M3 share space on the showroom floor with a brace of SUVs and crossovers...

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Gets 'Pursed'

When it comes to something larger than your average sized smartphone, such as those devices that approach into phablet territory, it also goes without saying that such devices require the very same amount of care and concern. After all, dropping your smartphone, tablet or phablet is never going to be easy on your heart, especially if you happen to be one who meticulously takes care of whatever devices that are in your possession. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one such device that requires careful usage, and it has also racked up its fair share of protective accessories along the way.

Alleged Nexus 5 Press Rendering Surfaces

Google's next-gen Nexus, the Nexus 5 (assuming that the name will stick), has been rumored for a launch in October, meaning that it is not surprising that we are being bombarded with various leaks and rumors in the past couple of weeks. So far the leaks have been the device caught in the wild but if you were after a "cleaner" image, a new image has surfaced and it is allegedly the press rendering of the Nexus 5 which you can see in the image above. Compared to the previous render, this version seems to be pretty similar to the leaked images we've seen in the past, so we wouldn't be completely surprised if this might be the real deal.

iPhone 5s Filmed Burberry Fashion Show Footage Released

The other day we reported that Burberry would be getting access to the iPhone 5s earlier than everyone else. The reason behind this is because together with Apple, they were planning on filming their upcoming fashion show by using the device. We have seen Apple products used in the past to film high quality videos, so this would not be the first, although it would be the first by the iPhone 5s with its new camera, making it a good way to test the device in a more professional setting. For those who are curious about the end result, Burberry has since released the full video which is around 15 minutes in length.

Subaru debuts tougher-looking Outback for Australia

If you're going to name a car after a specific location or region, you'd better make sure it's taken seriously in the place it's named for. You're not likely to see a Chevrolet Monte Carlo in Monaco, and the Alfa Romeo Montreal was never even officially offered in North America, but the Subaru Outback is another story. Subaru apparently takes the Australian market, whose wilderness its jacked-up Legacy wagon is named for, very seriously. So it is apparently rolling out a revised version of the current Outback in Australia itself.

CaseLogic DSLR Day Holster review

I bring my DSLR camera with me to all sorts of places, as I never know when some crazy scene might break out that I would not want to miss photographing.  (Actually, my life typically isn't really quite that exciting.  But I digress.)  However, a DSLR isn't a point-and-shoot camera, and most times the bulkiness of a DSLR in a full-sized case is more than I want to lug around.  Sometimes I just want something with minimal protection that is slim, lightweight, and provides quick access to my camera.  The CaseLogic DSLR Day Holster seemed to fit that description, and I recently tried one out. Packaging.
