Necessity is the mother of all invention, but what about building stuff just for fun, or out of interest as your hobby. I suppose enthusiasm as well as the constant striving to improve oneself is there in this bunch of Russians, who actually forked out around $1,500 in parts to construct this two-legged Ostrich robot from scratch. You can basically ride on this robot, and we do wish that it resembled more of a Chocobo than an ostrich for that added Final Fantasy element.

A young girl led police on a lengthy low-speed chase through South Carolina and into Charlotte, North Carolina Monday night. Police say the 12-year-old girl fought with her father earlier in the evening and slipped from their South Carolina home after he fell asleep. From there, the pre-teen stole a pickup truck from the local VFW parking lot with the intent of driving to a relative's house in Fort Mill. Officers originally spotted the girl thinking she was a drunk driver and a chase ensued.

The other thing that got a lot of attention were games, one of which previewed during the event was DriveClub, a new racing game franchise by Evolution Studios that will launch with the PS4 this holiday season.

I'm not a big Facebook user, but these days it's a bit of a necessary evil. In my opinion, the official Facebook app for Android is nothing short of atrocious. It appears just to be a different interface to the mobile web site. Friendcaster is an alternative client that makes using Facebook just that little bit more bearable, especially on a tablet like the Nexus 7.
Down the left side is an access bar that allows you to easily go to groups, notifications, messages, or pages you belong to, amongst other things, and you can change the order depending on your needs. If you need the “real estate”, you can also hide this bar.

Documents filed with the US Patent Office have revealed schematics for a Polaris "reverse trike" – that's two wheels in front and one in back – with seating for a driver and a passenger. According to the logo dug up by The Kneeslider, this buddy bike might eventually be called the Polaris Slingshot.
