How to switch your Gadgeteer RSS feed reader from Google Reader to Feedly

How to switch your Gadgeteer RSS feed reader from Google Reader to Feedly

If you read The Gadgeteer's RSS feed with Google Reader, you are probably already aware that back in March, Google announced that it would be retiring their RSS feed service on July 1, 2013. That's tomorrow for those of you without a calendar In the past 3 months I've tried several different Google Reader replacements and quickly settled on Feedly as it just keeps getting better. I use it on my Macbook Air and on my Samsung Galaxy S3. I think I actually read my feeds quicker with Feedly than I ever did using Google Reader.

Google Working On Video Game Console Of Their Own [Rumor]

Google Working On Video Game Console Of Their Own [Rumor]

The OUYA gaming console is pretty unique in the sense that it is powered by Google's mobile operating system, Android. However according to reports, it seems that Google might be interested in developing a console of their own which will also (unsurprisingly) be based on the Android operating system as well. The specifications, design or even its pricing remains a complete mystery at this point in time, but the reports are suggesting that it could see a fall release which we have to admit is pretty soon, especially since this is the first time we've heard of this.

T-Mobile, AT&T iPhone 5 14.2 Carrier Update Being Rolled Out

iPhone 5 owners on a number of online forums are claiming that 14.2 carrier update for T-Mobile and AT&T iPhone 5 has been rolled out today. As yet there as been no confirmation from either carrier that it has started rolling out this update. As opposed to iOS firmware updates, carrier updates don't deal with any software features, they're rolled out to change carrier settings. Some T-Mobile users are also saying that 14.2 update is not option like 14.1 was, they claim that this update was automatically installed on their devices, they only came to know of it when they went in the About menu.

Microsoft Confirms Xbox And PC Games Not Coming To iOS And Android

A few days ago some reports claiming that Microsoft was looking to bring its first-party games over to iOS and Android were circulating online. This would make it the first time that such titles were released for mobile devices that don't run Windows Phone OS. It was rumored that Microsoft and Japanese smartphone game developer Klab were signing a deal that would see Klab making titles for Microsoft which would eventually make their way over to the other two platforms.

Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad

Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine.

Pac-Man Imagined As A First-Person Shooter Will Give You Nightmares

Pac-Man Imagined As A First-Person Shooter Will Give You Nightmares

Regardless if you're a gamer or not, you're probably familiar with Pac-Man and his adventures as he has aimlessly been making his way through a number of mazes in order to eat all of the pellets that have been scattered throughout a level. We've seen Pac-Man make the jump to 3D in the past, but we haven't seen many Pac-Man first-person shooters. “FPS-Man” was created by game designer Tom Davies and imagines a full game of Pac-Man in a first-person shooter perspective as you'll make your way through each maze attempting to eat all of the pellets.

Nokia launched the Lumia 520 in April as its cheapest Windows Phone device ever. It's currently available in many markets around the world, including in the US - where T-Mobile is selling it as the Lumia 521. And it looks like it's going to be released by AT&T, too. Evleaks has unveiled a photo showing an AT&T-branded Nokia handset, unfortunately only from its rear side. Still, it's enough to see that it looks exactly like a Lumia 520.

First alleged image of the Sony Xperia Honami leaks

Sony's event a couple of days ago brought us the Xperia Z Ultra, but still left only one major phone in the rumor mill – the Sony Xperia i1 Homani. This could be the first image of the device – the OmniBalance design gives away its Xperia Z family allegiance, but the camera positioning doesnÂ't match any of the official models. The photo allegedly shows the Honami next to the new Xperia Z Ultra and the Xperia ZQ (Brazil's ZL version).
The rumors are that Sony is trying to revive its camera phone business with the Honami, putting in a large 1x1.6" sensor with an impressive 20MP resolution.

Infiniti has released full pricing information for its new 2014 Q50 line, which, as you're probably aware, replaces the well-liked G-series sedan. You may be wondering why this is news, as Infiniti announced pricing for its new Q50 sedan back in March. Apparently, though, those earlier prices applied only to the special pre-sell offer announced earlier this year and are only good for cars ordered by October 31, 2013. Starting in November, base 2014 Q50 models with the automaker's 328-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine will begin at $37,605 (*including a $905 destination fee), while the sportier Q50S model will begin at $44,105.

New Apple Patent Hints At Dual-Sided Track Pad For MacBook

New Apple Patent Hints At Dual-Sided Track Pad For MacBook

We always get a subtle hint of what technologies Apple might be working on in the patents that it is awarded. While every patented technology doesn't necessarily see the light of day, updates like these keep the rumor mill going, and us guessing about what new features the company can add in its products. The patent we're taking about here is titled “dual-sided trackpad,” it will basically be a foldable trackpad panel that has a display on both the top and bottom. Both sides will be capable of recognizing touch input and the MacBook would respond differently to each input when its open or closed.
