In simpler terms, once a map has been downloaded, users can use it offline. Changing the routes often requires recalculation that is done online but with the new Nokia Lumia OS update, all this will be an offline feat, thus saving bytes of user's data plans everytime the service is accessed. Nokia Lumia 800 is the first Windows Phone that gets Nokia Drive app. Nokia is also the only maps and navigation service provider for free of cost.
