Last month, we touched on a report from Kantar World Panel that placed the iOS platform finally taking the lead from Android as of October 28th. Apple's iOS platform barely made it past Android's market share at 48.1%, with Android sitting at 46.7%. But a new report released today shows Apple's iOS dominance in the smartphone platform market share has increased a great deal in just under a month. Apple at this time has reached over 50% market share with its iOS platform, 53.3% to be exact, while Android's influence has decreased a bit from last month's report, down to 42%.
