If the previously announced Archos Child Pad sounded like a perfect gift for your child, you will be interested to hear that the device has recently made a pit stop at the FCC, signaling that you might not have to wait too long before you will be able to get your hands on the device despite Archos having already missed its "late March" availability date. For those unfamiliar, the Child Pad is a child-friendly 7" Android tablet that features a Kids App Store, parental controls and safe web browsing. Under its hood parents can expect to find a 1GHz processor with 1GB of RAM with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board.
