Both Google and Apple currently feature mobile ads on their devices. These ads can manifest in apps (especially the free ones) and provides developers, Google and Apple an additional source of revenue. Now it looks like the mobile ad space competition could start to heat up as Samsung has announced that they are teaming up with OpenX Technologies to create their own mobile ad platform, one that they are hoping will rival what Google and Apple are currently offering. The upcoming service will be dubbed the Samsung AdHub Market and will allow advertisers to place targeted ads on Samsung's phones and tablets starting in the second half of 2012.
