We have seen how robots have been developed to help humankind and this latest one is no exception. Researchers at the Braingate2 consortium have developed robotic limbs that can be controlled by people with spinal cord or stroke injuries through their minds. The subjects are implanted with a chip right in the motor cortex region of their brains, enabling them to command the DEKA and DLR mechanical arms to grab objects and even sip coffee.
