Nvidia announced the Tegra 4 quad-core processor based on ARM's Cortex-A15 architecture back in January. So far, though, only a few tablets running it have been unveiled, and absent are any smartphones from any known brands. Until now, at least. It's clear that Nvidia isn't having a good year in terms of mobile chipset sales, but maybe that will change in the coming months. Or not. Regardless, we may soon see the first Android smartphone powered by the Tegra 4 chipset.
And it could be the ZTE U988S, seen below in some leaked renders. The U988S will obviously be launched under a more catchy name.
