Google Maps now features more detailed 3D landmarks

It's amazing how much Google Maps has evolved since its introduction many years ago, from plain, boring and flat maps to the highly detailed maps featuring 3D structures we have today. Well, Google has announced that it is taking its maps to a whole new level - by enhancing the 3D models for over a thousand 3D landmarks all over the world. The purpose of these 3D landmarks. To help make them more recognizable and useful to folks visiting a country who rely on them to get around.
