. How pointless are LTE tablets in the age of data caps. So pointless that AT&T (T) has concluded that it won't even subsidize them anymore. Per Engadget, AT&T has apparently concluded that it's not worth subsidizing tablets on its network anymore even if users agree to a two-year deal, because the company has completely pulled the plug on its tablet subsidy program. This means that users will either have to buy a Wi-Fi-only tablet, or they can pick up an LTE-enabled tablet that will not only cost significantly more in terms of retail pricing, but also more in terms of data plan fees as well.
Boy Genius Report , AT&T is sick of subsidizing tablets, AT&T is sick of subsidizing tablets
